I’m going through the best part of my Radical Launch System group program which is the creation of program content. Let me tell you first that without content in your program, the latter wouldn’t exist [full stop]
I’m known for keeping things simple and doing things differently, a bit out of the norm. but based on what I’ve read and experienced in life. So I picked up the concept of Simon Sinek The “Golden Circle” and I’ve done my own version. Think about it, Simon says “People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it” (and this is something I coach inside the program) but what happens when they have bought your program and they landed inside your membership. Is your content overwhelming even more or are you creating content that speaks to them and they really WANT?
You see your member’s Hero Journey inside your program is a lot like the “Golden Circle” by Simon Sinek, you will just need to reverse engineer the roles and feel exactly what is it that your members want to achieve.
When designing your group program content I advise to focus on these 3 questions:
Why does your client want to achieve the outcome?
What will help them along the way?
What benefits will they get in each program session/module?
We live constantly in our heads and therefore we find it difficult to put ourselves in our clients (or prospects) state of being. When we shift our perception of what we want and focus on what they want, your message, your content and all your online activities will start making sense and attracting the right people to you.
Here’s some feedback I got recently from one of the members of the Radical Launch System.
“For me personally, I’m starting to understand that whatever it is that I do, will be all about the feeling and state of being that I want my clients to leave with… the WHY is not only the reason I’m called to do this work but that state of being and feeling I want my clients to leave with at the end of the program,.”
First time I run a group program I loved it so much you can’t imagine. The feeling of running a business in a collective environment is so empowering. And if you are sick and tired of doing business alone, group programs is something that you are looking for.
You know, 2 minds are always better than 1
Here are my 5 reasons why I love running group programs so much…
1 – There’s something magical when you put together a bunch of like-minded people looking to reach a common goal.
2 – I know that it’s better to work as a collective than on your own. Business on your own can be very blah.
3 – members feel more confident in sharing their struggles in a safe and confidential environment
4 – Members can help, support and brainstorm with other group members. There’s nothing better than an outside perspective of one’s business.
5 – Celebrating together is better and more rewarding. Motivate others to keep going.
What is stopping you from starting your group coaching program?
I work with Coaches still in their 9 to 5 and with a 1-2-1 coaching business on the side. I’m also a program launch coach and I help them launch their Signature Group Coaching programs so today I want to talk about a few myths happening when you want to launch your group program…
1 – “I got to have enough clients already in my biz to have a group coaching program…NO… with the right system in place in your business, you can add group coaching to your packages.
2 – “I haven’t got time to launch”…NO… launches are fun and when you build a tribe that wants what you’ve got its easy peasy.
3 – “I haven’t got the money to invest in building a membership”…NO… imagine you get 10 clients into your group at 1k each that’s 10k. Your money blocks are stopping you from seeing the whole picture.
4 – “Memberships cost an arm and a leg”
5 – “I do not know enough to start this coaching business”
6 – “What if I launch my program and nobody buys”
7 – “Everything needs to be perfect before I launch”…NO…you don’t need an all singing and dancing program to launch. Baby steps, yes you’ll stumble and fall…so what? Children do it all the time, they fall and pick themselves up. It’s only us adults that put our protective cap on and start recreating the “falls” and lose confidence because of our mundane limitations.
8 – This one is good!! I got my launch date, my content structure, all my “ducks in a row” and the pricing for my program BUT one side of my brain tells me i should charge less. I call it my EVIL side ? thoughts start appearing that nobody will afford it, who am I to charge that much and then the doubts start to escalate.
All these thoughts are normal when you’re pricing your services. Can you actually price someone “TRANSFORMATION”, the immense value they’re going to get, can you afford to trade time for money and get burnout in the process…NO you can’t, nobody wants that right?
